Account Verification (KYC)
At BuySellLease.ph, we are committed to building the most trusted and secure property listing platform in the Philippines. To protect all users and ensure the legitimacy of every listing, we require account verification—also known as Know Your Customer (KYC)—for both licensed real estate professionals and direct property owners.
This verification process allows us to confirm identity, validate ownership or licensure, and maintain legal compliance. It also ensures that every property published on our platform is backed by real people, real documents, and real accountability.
What is KYC?
KYC, or Know Your Customer, is a verification protocol used across regulated industries to authenticate users. In real estate, it helps prevent fraud, impersonation, and unauthorized listings.
BuySellLease.ph uses KYC to determine whether a listing is being submitted by a legally recognized broker or by a property owner who has the right to sell or lease the asset. This protects buyers from scams and helps create a safer, more transparent marketplace.
Registration and Listing Access
Users may register and list their properties immediately, even before completing verification. However, only verified accounts will receive a verification badge and gain access to higher platform visibility.
This allows us to balance open access with strict quality control, giving users a fast onboarding experience while upholding the integrity of the platform through post-registration verification.
Verification Categories
Licensed Brokers and Salespersons
To be recognized as a Verified Broker, the following documents must be submitted:
- Valid PRC license or accreditation certificate
- Valid government-issued ID
- Selfie photo clearly showing the user holding the submitted ID
Once verified, the account will display a Verified Broker badge. Verified professionals will be included in buyer-facing filters and benefit from enhanced trust and exposure.
Unverified brokers may still use the platform and post listings, but their accounts will be labeled as unverified and will not be included in verified-only search filters. Visibility and engagement may also be reduced.
Direct Property Owners
BuySellLease.ph offers two listing options for property owners:
1. Verified Owner Listing
To receive a Verified Owner badge and enhanced platform visibility, the following documents are required:
- Valid government-issued ID
- Front page of the property title
- Selfie holding the submitted ID
Listings with this badge are prioritized in search results, included in verified-only filters, and generally receive higher buyer engagement.
2. Unverified Owner Listing
Owners who do not wish to submit their property title may still list their property by submitting a valid ID and selfie. These listings will remain visible but will not carry the verified badge. They may be excluded from buyer filters that prioritize verified listings.
How to Submit Verification Documents
All KYC submissions must be sent via email to:
Include the following information:
•Full name
•Registered email address
•Whether you are registering as a broker or property owner
•All required attachments in JPEG or PDF format
Our compliance team reviews submissions within one to two business days. Once approved, your account will be marked as verified and all associated listings will be updated accordingly.
Data Privacy and Compliance
BuySellLease.ph fully complies with the Data Privacy Act of 2012. All verification documents are collected solely for internal validation purposes. No files will be made public, shared with third parties, or used for any reason beyond account verification.
Documents are stored in access-controlled environments and processed only by authorized personnel. Users may request deletion of submitted documents at any time by emailing our compliance team.
